All university residential facilities, with the exception of Scranton, Lawrence, and McCarthy halls and University Towers, will be closed and locked with I-Card access systems deactivated from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, through noon on Sunday, November 30. Students are not permitted in the residence halls during the break period.
Note: Scranton, Lawrence, and McCarthy halls and University Towers will be available ONLY for students who have applied for and been assigned to break housing residency.
All resident students must vacate their rooms no later than 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22. All residence halls will be closed and I-Card systems deactivated during the break. Students are asked to leave for break as early as possible following their last class.
The following procedures must be completed by all residents before leaving. Rooms will be checked by the residence hall staff to ensure that these steps have been completed. The university assumes no responsibility for any consequences of failure to carry out these procedures.
Food service is not available during the vacation.
The University cannot be responsible for theft of or damage to any items left in student room during the break period. Students are urged to make special provisions for the security of valuable items. As a reminder, it is advisable for all residents to have personal property insurance.
Residents are advised that any necessary maintenance and/or custodial services will continue to be performed during the break period.
All residential buildings will reopen beginning at noon on Sunday, November 30. I-card access systems will be reactivated at that time. No residential building will open for any reason prior to noon on Sunday, November 30.
