Reminder of Mandatory Training for Student Workers and All Second Semester New Hires

All student workers, and supervisors of student workers, are reminded that the annual mandatory Title IX and Protection of Minors online training is also applicable to this group of employees. Student workers, including graduate students/assistants, and all new hires for second semester automatically receive their individualized training access email from Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education as their payroll paperwork is completed and approved. 

The courses are titled “Intersections: Preventing Harassment and Sexual Violence” and “EDU: Protect Children (Pennsylvania),” and both courses must be completed within 30 days of receiving the email. Each email and access link is individualized so that course completion can be correctly recorded electronically in SAP. Emails/links can not be forwarded or shared, as only the person who received the email will get credit for completion. 

Training certificates can be printed after each session is completed, which should be kept for personal records and/or submitted to supervisors. Do not forward these certificates to the Office of Social Equity, as course completion is electronically recorded. Time during work hours and computer access are to be provided by each division, college, or department in order for all personnel to meet their requirement.
