Essex Abroad is now accepting applications for the University of Essex International Visiting Fellowship scheme for the academic year 2018–19. Applications for the first call close July 31, 2018.
The International Visiting Fellowships are the university’s flagship research fellowship program, in which internationally recognized researchers based outside of the United Kingdom are invited to experience and contribute to the research community at
the University of Essex. As this is a collaborative scheme, applicants are required to identify an Essex academic to host the visit, and the nature of the research should be of significant benefit to the department and the university.
Two categories of International Visiting Fellowship are available:
*Southend- and Loughton-based fellows will be accommodated in local B&B hotel.
Successful applicants are expected to contribute to the university’s research community, specifically that of the host department/centre and faculty. The visiting fellow should aim to incorporate some of the following:
