Recruiters from 100 companies and organizations will be at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. during the IUP Spring Career Fair, sponsored by the Career and Professional Development Center.
“This is the highest number of organizations we’ve ever welcomed to a career fair,” event coordinator Jan Shellenbarger said. “We have a wide variety of organizations attending the fair, from areas such as health care, law enforcement, nursing, social services, accounting, safety, hospitality, and education.”
CPDC assistant director Zac Saeva said staff members are hoping for a large student turnout due to the amount of organizations registered for the event and the mild weather, “unlike last year’s fair where we had several inches of wet, heavy snow the night before, which resulted in a number of employers not being able to attend.”
No pre-registration is required, and students and alumni are encouraged to dress in business or business casual attire, as well as bring several resumes with them.
