Natalia Kaniasty, an alumna of the Department of Theater and Dance currently enrolled in NYU’s graduate film-making program, is screening her pre-MFA thesis film at the Indiana Theater on Saturday, October 25, at 4:00 p.m.
Written and directed by Natalia, Home Range is the story of Bobby Novak, a soldier who has returned home to Western Pennsylvania after serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. His difficult emotional journey reaches a crossroads around Thanksgiving, at the start of deer hunting season. Bobby must decide whether going out into the wilderness to reconnect with an old tradition and old friends will push him back or set him free.
The film features other Theater and Dance alumni Brett Mack and Charles Beikert, along with current student Lydia Gibson, and with Andy Wyant and Maggie Glass in the production crew.
