Two Writing Center tutors were recognized with awards at the English Department Honors Ceremony on April 28, 2013.
Senior Megan Marshall, English Education major, was honored as a class of 2013 valedictorian. She also received a second place Critical Writing award for her piece “Yeats’ Purgatory as a Connection between the Misery of the Living Dead and the Remorse of the Dead” and a third place Pedagogical Writing award for her “There’s No Place Like Home” Unit Plan.
Sophomore Nick Marsellas, English major, received an Outstanding Second Year English Studies award as well as an honorable mention in the Linda Haldeman Short Fiction Award for his piece, “Acetone.”
