The Graduate Business Association hosted an alumnus of IUP on October 22, 2012, to speak to students about marketing consultation and problem solving.
David Mastovich, president of strategic marketing and change management firm MASSolutions, graduated from IUP in 1987 with a bachelor’s in Marketing and with an MBA in 1992. During his presentation, Mastovich used real-world examples of problem-solving cases MASSolutions had handled.
“Mastovich’s presentation not only gave technical insights into current practices in marketing consulting, but also demonstrated how IUP graduates can compete and achieve better results than Ivy League grads,” said Marketing professor Krish Krishnan.
Before working as president for MASSolutions, Mastovich held senior management positions with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Duquesne University, and Monongahela Valley Hospital. He also has led the strategic turnaround of organizations in numerous industries.
Mastovich has also served as a strategic planning, marketing, and public relations instructor for St. Francis University and Mount Aloysius College. He is also author of Get Where You Want To Go, which is about how to achieve both personal and professional growth through marketing, selling, and storytelling.
