An essay by Bryna Siegel Finer, faculty member in the English Department and director of Writing Across the Curriculum, has been accepted for publication in the spring issue of the Journal of Teaching Writing.
The article, “Critical Praxis for Researched Writing (CPRW): A Rhetorical Model for Teaching Students to ‘Do Research’,” encourages educators to “teach students to do research in a way that more resembles the way real-life inquirers find answers and is more rhetorical in nature.” It describes a pedagogical model, Critical Praxis for Teaching Researched Writing, and provides practical classroom examples.
