When Broadway legend, television and film star, and recording artist Bernadette Peters comes to campus on Friday, May 4, 2012, she will perform a concert filled with her vast repertoire of hits and favorite songs. The performance will begin at 8:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium.
When on the road, a ticket to a Peters concert can easily reach over $50 and usually higher per ticket. However, with support of the Student Cooperative Association and a variety of sponsors and donors, IUP students will only need to pay between $15 and $18 a seat.
Throughout her illustrious career, award-winning actor Bernadette Peters has dazzled audiences and critics the world over. She has been honored with two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe, two Grammy Awards, three Emmy nominations, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Peters recently appeared in the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Follies and was recently seen on the new NBC television series Smash.
Other Broadway work includes Gypsy, Annie Get Your Gun, Sunday in the Park with George, On the Town, Into the Woods, and many more. She has recorded six solo albums in addition to numerous original Broadway cast recordings.
Her long list of movie credits includes Pennies from Heaven, The Jerk, The Longest Yard, and Annie, among others, with television appearances ranging, in addition to Smash, from Ugly Betty to Grey’s Anatomy to Evening at the Pops.
