Michael Morris, a student in the associate’s degree program in Electro-Optics at the Northpointe regional campus, received a $750 scholarship from the Continuing Education Association of Pennsylvania, to be applied to the Fall 2012 semester.
According to Morris, “I have worked hard as a nontraditional student, having been out of school for more than 20 years, and the reward of furthering my education and receiving this award is great.”
Morris will graduate this semester with his associate’s degree and plans to continue on to the main campus to earn his bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics with an Electro-Optics Track.
The Continuing Education Association of Pennsylvania was formed in 1989 to promote and support high-quality programs of public and private continuing education in the state of Pennsylvania. It serves as an advocate for the post-secondary adult learner, and encourages the professional development of its members.
This scholarship is awarded each year to nontraditional students with a quality point average of 3.5 or higher.
