The first phase of a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded renovation of Weyandt Hall research facilities has begun.
In December 2011, contractors began the first phase of renovations to select Weyandt Hall research facilities. The renovation, funded by a National Science Foundation proposal authored by Carl Luciano (Department of Biology) and Mark Geletka (Facilities), is scheduled to occur in two phases.
The first phase, now underway, is focused upon renovations on the basement and third floor of Weyandt, including individual research labs, graduate student workspaces, and the Weyandt Hall animal facility.
The second phase of renovations, of the ground and second floor of Weyandt, is scheduled to begin later this year, with an August completion date.
