Graham Dance Educational Outreach Announced

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company will visit Indiana for a performance at Fisher Auditorium on March 2, 2015. The dance company will also hold a masterclass on the famed “Graham Technique” on Sunday, March 1, and a mini Tech Workshop on Monday, March 2.

Pittsburgh Symphony Rescheduling Update

The Lively Arts is working non-stop with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to try to reschedule the concert originally scheduled for February 21, 2015, which was cancelled due to weather.

Pablo Ziegler Classical Tango Quartet Tickets Available

Pablo Ziegler, a Latin Grammy-winning pianist, composer, and arranger, and his quartet will bring Argentinian musical tradition to IUP with this chamber music engagement on March 26.

“Bach and Beyond” Tickets Available

Bach and Beyond is an IUP music faculty concert on March 21, 2015, that will begin in DiCicco Hall in Cogswell, move to Gorell Recital Hall in Sutton Hall, and end with a reception in the Blue Room to benefit the music scholarship fund.

IUP to Host Maestro Honeck for Q/A Session

The Lively Arts and IUP Music Department will host Manfred Honeck, world-renowned music director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, in a “Meet the Composer” interview and Q/A session on Saturday, February 21. Geared towards area high school students and IUP music students and faculty, the interview will be conducted by University Professor and Director of Bands Jack Stamp.
