IUP Libraries Coronavirus Response

Updated Friday, August 20, 2021

The IUP Libraries is committed to continuing to provide a range of services and collections to support the teaching, learning, and research mission of university students and employees while protecting the health and safety of the IUP community.

We are reopening most library services, as detailed below. However, please note that some changes instituted over the last year, based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Pennsylvania Department of Health, remain in place until further notice. These changes include:

  • In-person use of library facilities and collections is restricted to IUP students, faculty, and staff, with priority given to student's quiet study and coursework.
  • Face coverings are required for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, while indoors in public spaces. Please see IUP's Covid-19 Response Plan for detailed information about, and updates to, policies and procedures regarding COVID-19 protections.
  • Studio 1B is not available at this time.
  • A voluntary temperature check station is available in the main lobby of Stapleton Library.

The full range of interlibrary loan services are available to IUP students, faculty, and staff. Users must register for this service following the First Time Users link on that page. Questions concerning interlibrary service should be directed to ill-iup@iup.edu.
