Because IUP Libraries cannot possibly own all of the materials needed by its patrons, we offer interlibrary loan services to university students, faculty, and staff to obtain materials that are not available in our collections.
To use our interlibrary loan services, follow the Submit steps below:
Need help with these steps? Call 724-357-3006, IUP Libraries Reference Desk!
Occasionally, you may find an item you want to request that is only available in the collections at a different campus or center (for example, if you are a student at the Punxsutawney campus and would like to borrow a book from our Indiana campus). In that situation, please use the ILLIAD system to submit the request.
If the item you want to request is owned by IUP and is available, your interlibrary loan request will not be filled, so it is important to verify whether you can obtain the item at IUP before submitting your request. If you have trouble
checking our collections for the item you want to borrow, please contact the Reference Desk for assistance.
