The twelfth annual PA-NAME Conference is being coordinated by the Pennsylvania chapter local planning committee chaired by Dr. Monte Tidwell, Department of Professional Studies in Education, and the Office of Conference Services. The NAME conference is the premier and most inclusive in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing on multiculturalism and diversity.

The conference, being held in several locations on campus on March 26–27, 2010, is geared towards administrators, faculty members, teachers, and students in post-secondary, elementary, and secondary educational institutions, plus corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, community leaders, politicians, and social service advocates.

The keynote speaker will be Bill Strickland. Approximately 250 to 300 registrants are expected.

The Founders of NAME envisioned an organization that would bring together individuals and groups with an interest in multicultural education from all levels of education and different academic disciplines, and from diverse educational institutions and occupations.
