The IUP Native American Awareness Council will host upcoming events on November 13 and 15, 2018, as part of the celebration of Native American
Awareness Month. Both events are free and open to the entire IUP community, with vouchers provided.
On Tuesday, November 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. all are welcome to stop by the lobby of the Humanities and Social Sciences building to view and learn from three informational tables. The table themes are: Mascot Debate, Politics and Environment,
and Native Resistance and Survival (including whose land we live on).
A movie screening of Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock will be held on Thursday, November 15, at 6:00 p.m. in HSS room 225. Come view this acclaimed documentary about the Native-led defiance that forever changed the fight for clean water, our
environment, and the future of our planet.
