Five Economics Alumni Inducted into CHSS Hall of Distinction

The Department of Economics is pleased to announce that five of its alumni are among the inaugural initiates into the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Hall of Distinction.

At the CHSS Hall of Distinction Induction Ceremony and Luncheon, held on Friday, September 28, 2018, Dean Yaw Asamoah recognized the following economics alumni:

  • George Chressanthis ’77, principal scientist, Axtria
  • Mileah Kromer ’03, director, Sarah T. Hughes Field Politics Center, and associate professor of Political Science, Goucher College
  • Karl McDermott ’76, Ameren Distinguished Professor of Business and Government, University of Illinois at Springfield
  • Caleb Moore ’07, senior vice president and director of Credit Systems, Carter Bank and Trust
  • Jennifer (Swartz) Quinlan ’07, vice president, Private Markets at Wilshire Associates

The Hall of Distinction is located on the first floor of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences building opposite the main entrance.
