The IUP Libraries invites you to tour the University Archives and enjoy Libraryfest during Family Weekend 2018.
On Friday, September 21, explore what’s so “special” about the University Libraries’ Special Collections and University Archives department. You will be treated to illuminated manuscripts, early editions of major authors, fascinating modern manuscripts, and gems from the university’s historic archives. Not only that, but you will learn how easy it is for your student to use these amazing resources. Pre-registration is required, so please indicate your attendance when you register to attend Family Weekend.
On Saturday, September 22, enjoy self-guided tours, refreshments, and library swag. These tours of Stapleton Library are designed to help families learn about some library places, services, and resources. Studies show that students who spend more time in the library and use the resources the library provides are more likely to succeed academically. The tours will highlight the academic heart of the campus, show families where their student gets his/her academic work done, and show them how their student is on the road to academic success. After you complete the tour, turn in your card at the Library Swag and Refreshment table, and be entered into a drawing for a $250 gift card. There's no need to pre-register for the tours.
