director of training with MARTI-CBH and associate professor of sociology at IUP, has
received an Infrastructure Improvement Grant from the School of Graduate Studies and Research to support faculty research projects at two IUP Institutes.
Support from the grant will be used to provide license to faculty for two innovative mHealth technologies for assisting addiction recovery developed by My New Leaf, Inc. Founded by IUP Alumni Ryan Brannon, My New Leaf, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit located in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania
Vaccaro's grant will support work of faculty at both MARTI-CBH and the Administration and Leadership Studies Research and Training Center (ALS-RTC). The grant allows faculty at the participating institutes to get hands-on access to these technologies and build their knowledge and skills in their use. Such practice and training will serve to bolster efforts in seeking external funding for study of application of these and other analogous mHealth technologies in practical contexts. For more information
regarding this project, please contact Vaccaro at C.A.Vaccaro@iup.edu.
