Every semester, the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology business honors students come together and meet to discuss recent events within the program, as well as other important items such
as the Suitable program.
On January 29, 2018, the Business Honors students attended an all-cohort meeting to discuss program updates and upcoming events. This particular meeting included a visit by Campus Police, who gave a presentation on drug and alcohol awareness, a discussion
about scholarship etiquette, and program updates.
One highlight of the meeting was the Suitable leaderboard. Each cohort had a leaderboard representing the three students with the most Suitable points to date. The point leaders for each cohort were as follows:
Each student on the leaderboard was given an IUP t-shirt along with an Eberly College of Business and Information Technology foam phone-holder.
Another highlight of the meeting was the review of the
recent business honors trips. The sophomores enjoyed a trip to Washington, D.C., where they had a rooftop networking event and toured both the World Bank and the Capitol Building. The seniors enjoyed their final business honors trip to New York
City, which included presentations at charity:water and Comedy Central and a tour of Wall Street. The junior cohort traveled much farther away to India, where they were led through the country by Prashanth Bharadwaj and many of the PES students.
Overall, the meeting was a success, and the students enjoyed getting to network with each other and catch up on the events of last semester!
