The Research Institute team would like to thank everyone who turned out for the Researchers’ Reception on Wednesday, October 4, at the KCAC. We think it went very well, and hope you all took the opportunity to make new friends from across campus and discuss collaborations on a scholarly activity. If you were not able to join us, we will give you another opportunity next year!

The formula to win first and second places in the Crimson Cup:

  • percent of attendance is worth 50 percent
  • percent increase (or decrease) in the number of proposals and awards received are each worth 25 percent

Base employee numbers in each college were obtained from Human Resources.

The Winners Are:

The first-place winner of the 2017 Researchers’ Reception Crimson Cup Challenge is the College of Natural Science and Mathematics.

Congratulations to Dean Deanne Snavely and her team for their collective effort with proposals, awards, and attendance. NSM will take ownership (for the year) of the Cup and receive $2,000 in research/scholarship support. The Cup will be engraved for 2017 and presented to Dean Snavely at an upcoming Council of Deans meeting.

Second place of the 2017 Researchers' Reception Crimson Cup Challenge goes to the College of Fine Arts.

Congratulations to Dean Michael Hood and his team for their collective efforts and winning $1,000 in research/scholarship support. Dean Hood will also be recognized at an upcoming Council of Deans meeting.
