Following a national search, Jennifer Fedele has been
selected to serve as registrar for Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Fedele, of Murrysville, will begin work at IUP on June 5.
She comes to IUP from Point Park University, where she has served as university
registrar since 2003.
Prior to her work at Point Park University, she was
registrar at ITT Technical Institute in Pittsburgh. She began her professional
career as Financial Aid director at the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts
and served in that role at Educational Support Services, Sawyer Institute, and
at the Community College of Allegheny County–Boyce Campus.
She has a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University in
business administration (marketing) and a master’s degree in adult and
community education from IUP. She has professional memberships in the American
Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, Middle States
Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and Pittsburgh
Council on Higher Education—Registrar Group.
“I am looking forward to
beginning the new position at Indiana University of Pennsylvania,” Fedele said.
“I have been given a wonderful opportunity to work at my alma mater. My
experience as a graduate student at IUP was rewarding and helped me to achieve
the position of registrar.
“I welcome the chance to assist
students in obtaining a valuable education and to establish a future filled
with success. I am especially excited to work with the students, faculty,
and staff on campus. During the interview process I was impressed with
the beauty of the campus and the kindness of the campus community members.”
