IUP is ranked as 32 in the listing of 250 top universities, recognized for providing 1,522 non-federal work-study part-time jobs for students. The survey information was determined by Peterson’s Financial Aid Data from 2014–15.
Students in 1,534 non-federal work-study jobs at IUP earned $4,238,668 during 2015–16.
In addition to the 1,522 students in non-federal work-study jobs, a total of 973 students earned $1,811,986 during the 2014–15 award year in federal work-study jobs.
“Not only do these positions assist students financially, these jobs provide meaningful work experiences for our students,” IUP Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Communications Patricia McCarthy said.
Almost 90 percent of IUP students receive some kind of financial assistance in the form of federal financial aid, grants, scholarships, and work-study opportunities.
