This past week, IUP’s
Eberly College of Business and Information Technology joined forces with the Stephenson Hall Living Learning Community to provide students with an opportunity to learn the “Art of the Handshake.”
During this event, students sat in on a presentation from Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Student Services Kara Romance. The event featured lessons on a proper handshake, professionalism, interviewing, and a sneak peak into the Business Communications course offered
Of those who took the opportunity to provide feedback, 90 percent reported having a “great” experience, and 100 percent suggested they would attend another similar event.
This was the first engagement between the Eberly College of Business and the Stephenson Hall LLC so far this year, but it surely won’t be the last.
Upcoming events include a showing of the film Moneyball and a second student development event. Special thanks given to Robert Schwartz, Ryan Sweeney, Zac Fischer, Ashley Reese, and Kara Romance for their hard work and dedication toward making
the student experience one of mission, vision, and value.
