The Student Cooperative Association has announced the hiring of Brandyn Ott to serve as the assistant director of Campus Recreation.

In this role, Ott will oversee all aspects of Campus Recreation Services, which includes intramural sports, the Les Mills group exercise program, the HUB Gymnasium and HUB Fitness Center, as well as the outdoor recreation facilities at the Co-op Recreational Park.

“I am very excited for this opportunity, and I'm looking forward to growing and expanding the Campus Recreation Services program at IUP,” Ott said.

A native of Hollidaysburg, Ott earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees from IUP. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sport/exercise science in 2013 and a master’s in sport science, with a concentration in sport management, in 2015. Ott is a 2009 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School.

“We are looking for Brandyn to bring a new energy and out-of-the-box thinking to grow Campus Recreation Services,” said Lou Garzarellli, CEO of the Student Cooperative Association.
