Talwar Presents at Workshop on 40 Years of Man-Made Electronic Materials and Devices

Devki Talwar, Department of Physics, was invited to attend a workshop at the University of North Carolina recognizing 40 years of the “Development of Man-Made Electronic Materials and Devices: Past and Future.”

The workshop was in honor of Raphael Tsu’s 25 years of service at UNC Charlotte and his close association with Leo Esaki—the 1973 Nobel laureate in Physics.

Talwar presented two papers coauthored with Leo Esaki and Zhe Chuan Feng from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan:

1. Novel Strained Layer Superlattices for Long wavelength IR Detectors, and 
2. Optical and Theoretical Investigations of InAs/GaSb Superlattices
