The PASSHE Faculty Professional Development Committee’s Annual Grants Competition is back! Faculty interested in applying for an annual grant are invited to submit proposals for consideration no later than December 19, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. EST.
Guidelines and submission instructions are available.
Faculty may apply for grants up to $10,000 to support their research, teaching, and professional development in five proposal categories:
Proposals must describe the potential professional development benefits to be realized by the faculty member(s) and the significance and impact of the project and its intended outcomes. The proposals will be reviewed by the IUP Faculty Professional Development Committee, which will in turn forward 16 proposals for statewide consideration in mid-February. More information about the Annual Grants Program (including previous grant awards) can be found on the PASSHE FPDC webpage.
Questions regarding the development of proposals and budgets may be addressed to the IUP Research Institute (contact Tracy Eisenhower, senior grant and contract specialist, at email@example.com, or 357-1915). Questions about the on-campus review of proposals or the local Faculty Professional Development Committee (FPDC) can be addressed to Committee Chair Lynanne Black (firstname.lastname@example.org, or 357-4757).
The statewide Faculty Professional Development Council is also seeking faculty to serve as grant proposal reviewers. There are many benefits to serving as a proposal reviewer, including seeing first-hand the winning elements of a good grant proposal. If you are interested in serving as a reviewer, please send an e-mail to email@example.com.
