Open Terms for Undergraduate Student Applicants

We want to make sure you understand the term you want to start. The calendar can look a little different at colleges, so here is some information to help you choose the right one.

Fall 2024

Semester starts August 26, 2024
Application is open
Last day to apply is August 28, 2024
Tuition Deposit due by May 15, 2024*

Spring 2025

Semester starts January 21, 2025
Application opens April 1, 2024
Last day to apply is January 22, 2025
Tuition deposit due by November 1, 2024*

Fall 2025

Semester starts August 25, 2025
Application opens July 1, 2024
Last day to apply is August 26, 2025
Tuition deposit due by May 1, 2025*

Future Terms

If you intend to start at IUP during a term that is not currently open for application, please do not submit an application yet. Wait for the appropriate term application to be open. This will ensure that you do not have to complete a second application for the correct term.

  • Spring 2025 applications will open April 2024.
  • Fall 2025 applications will open July 2024.
    • If you are a high school junior during the 2023–24 school year, this will most likely be the term you use. Please wait to apply until July 2024.
*Submitting your deposit by this date guarantees your admissions offer and on-campus housing, and allows you to complete your enrollment steps within the optimal time frame. We continue to accept tuition deposits after those dates, space permitting. 

We are extending the fall 2024 deposit deadline to May 15, 2024, due to the delays from the federal FAFSA implementation. Please contact us with questions or concerns.
