In certain states, undocumented immigrants are eligible to pay in-state tuition rates at public colleges and universities. Thanks to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, school officials cannot disclose personal information (including immigration status) about students. IUP supports the Development Relief and Education for Alien Minor (DREAM) Act, and we believe that other than immigration status, undocumented students are no different than any other student. As an undocumented immigrant or DACA recipient applying to IUP, if you have lived in your current state for a year or longer or are graduating from a high school in the United States, you should apply as a permanent resident and indicate the state in which you reside. This will determine your tuition rate and admissions requirements.
