Senior citizens may request to audit a course and receive discounted prices for individual courses taken for enrichment. The process for auditing a course is defined below. Only undergraduate courses may be taken as an audit.

Step One

A senior citizen wishing to audit an undergraduate course must first get written approval from the professor teaching the course. An e-mail from the professor should be sent to visiting-student@iup.edu confirming the person has permission to audit the requested course.

Step Two

Complete the online application and pay the application fee through the Office of Admissions.

Step Three

Students wishing to audit a course for which they registered should obtain a Course Audit Form from the office of the department offering the course.

Step Four

Complete the form and obtain all necessary signatures, and return it to the Registrar's office for processing.

You will receive confirmation of your audit request being accepted upon processing by the Registrar.
