BSEd in Music Education, BSEd

The vast majority of our music majors want to inspire people to explore their musical potential.

Musical Theater Track, Theater, BA

Students interested in majoring in musical theater should visit the Musical Theater Track, Theater, BA program in the Department of Theater. The musical theater track is a unique academic program that blends key elements of a traditional musical theater curriculum with an expanded focus on the techniques essential to all genres of theater.

Popular Music Certificate

  • This 19-credit certificate, a joint program of the Music and Communications Media departments, requires students to take 13 credits of core courses and an additional six credits of electives.
  • An audition on an instrument (including voice) or a portfolio of recorded compositions is required for entrance into the program.
  • Post-baccalaureate students can open new areas of creative or professional activity by returning to earn the certificate.
  • Current music majors and communications media majors can expand their resumes by adding this program.
