Recital Policies

Scheduling

Students may make recital requests according to this schedule:

  • June 1 - Faculty
  • July 1 - Graduate students and BFA majors
  • August 1 - BSEd, BA, music minor, and student organizations

Student recital requests require approval by the applied instructor or faculty advisor. Students should use the links found on the Event Scheduling page to make reservation requests.

Posters

Students may place recital posters on any general Department of Music bulletin board found throughout Cogswell. Students should ask faculty or area coordinators before placing posters on area- or studio-owned bulletin boards. Recital posters should not be attached to walls, windows, doors, or other areas without prior approval from IUP music office staff or administration.

Programs

The music office may format and print student recital programs. Programs must be submitted to the music office at least two weeks prior to the event. Programs will be printed in black and white on a limited choice of color paper. Programs may be submitted via email to music-office@iup.edu.

Stage Crewing

Phi Mu Alpha offers recital stage crewing. Students may request a stage crew for a recital when scheduling through the IUP Music Scheduling website. Questions regarding recital stage crewing may be directed to the Phi Mu Alpha warden.

Ushering

Delta Omicron offers recital ushering. Students may request ushers for a recital when scheduling through the IUP Music Scheduling website. Questions regarding recital ushering may be directed to doushering@gmail.com.
