The 10-week summer 2020 semester officially begins on Monday, June 1, and will continue through Sunday, August 9.
Summer offerings will include primarily private lessons on all instruments with various levels of instructors, as available.
Guitar and piano classes will resume in the fall, as well as all four ensembles: the Crimson Youth Choir, the Indiana Community Choir, the Indiana Concert Band, and the Percussion Ensemble. Be sure to check for audition dates and times on their pages for the start of the class
or ensemble that you’re interested in.
Between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, all posted parking requirements for the campus lots and parking garage are strictly enforced.
After 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends, all campus lots and the parking garage—including the reserved spaces in the garage—are free.

Registration for all IUPCMS private lessons and the Music Together summer session officially opens on Monday, May 4.
Note 1: As it is throughout the entire year, private lesson registration is flexible and ongoing throughout the semester; however, most students sign up for a full semester of lessons, or nearly the full semester, depending
on their schedules. The summer 2020 semester is 10 weeks; a minimum of five lessons is required.
Note 2: The crimson “Register Now” bar found throughout the IUPCMS website is only for students NEW to the IUP Community Music School. Anyone who has been a student in the past should simply email firstname.lastname@example.org to register for the upcoming semester or to make inquiries.
If you are registering for the first time and the “Register Now” button does not work for you, please immediately email email@example.com and let us know!
The IUP Community Music School assesses a reduced registration fee of $25 per individual student per semester during the fall and spring semesters, and a reduced $20 registration fee per individual student during the summer.
This fee supports a very small portion of the total administrative costs associated with running the school and helps keep participation costs as low as possible.
