If you couldn’t attend the Meet-Up on Friday, September 17, you missed a good one. LASO, the Latino Student Organization, hosted a night of fun and dancing, complete with a DJ who played diverse Latin music throughout the night. Whether you were a member of LASO or not, all students were welcome to come and enjoy the music, learn new dances, and meet new people.
The Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement manages the Meet-Ups, which take place every Friday from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the Folger Student Center. For any student or group who would like to sponsor a Meet-Up, please get in touch with the MCSLE Office at 724-357-2598. This is an excellent opportunity to share information about your group, meet new students, and support fun activities at IUP.
The Student Government Association, for example, sponsored the Meet-Up on Friday, October 15, and offered karaoke and free pizza to attendees. This Friday’s Meet-Up is being sponsored by the Crimson Scholars Circle. The CSC will sponsor this week’s Meet-Up with a wing night. All students who are looking for something to do on campus on Friday nights are welcome to attend.
