The Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement (MCSLE) houses five interworking offices: Fraternity/Sorority Life and Student Engagement; LGBTQIA+ Support; Multicultural Affairs and Student Success; Service Learning, Programming, and Events; and Student Involvement and Leadership Development.

Mission

MCSLE is a center that provides experiences, programs, and facilities of a diverse and inclusive nature, to maximize collaboration between students and the community. The Center offers wide-ranging opportunities for students of all identities that encourage mindful inclusion and a more just and liberated world.

Objectives

  • Educate the community on social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Create diverse programming that supports development of student's sense of self.

  • Create opportunities for cultural competence, academic success, leadership development, and local engagement.
  • Provide students with spaces and information to stay fully engaged and connected to IUP.
