Career and Professional Development Center Services

  • In addition to organizing several career fairs, employer information sessions, on-campus interviews with recruiters, and career workshops, the Career and Professional Development Center offers a number of other services to IUP students.

    We offer hour-long career consulting sessions; provide access to online resources for jobs, graduate schools, and internships; conduct mock interviews; and provide service in the following areas: service learning, volunteering, the Washington Center, and National Student Exchange.

    PASSHE-West Virtual Recruitment SessionsPASSHE-West Virtual Recruitment Sessions: 50+ employers and graduate schools will be holding sessions throughout April!

    The PASSHE-West Virtual Recruitment Campaign is a pilot initiated by the career center teams of California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion University, Edinboro University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Slippery Rock University to create opportunities for students and employers to connect, network, and share information.

    Additional details are included on Handshake, the online recruiting system used by thousands of employers. All IUP students have a free Handshake account which can be accessed through the IUP Single Sign-On System.

    • April 13, 2020, 11:00 a.m. –Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. All business majors, hospitality, and culinary. Students must have reliable transportation to and from work, and students must provide a résumé at the time of application.

Or if you're a seasoned pro, we might share some additional pointers you've not yet thought of. The IUP CPDC will break down why you should have a LinkedIn, what to include on your account, plus the MANY features it has to help you connect and build a professional network.
