Morgan Glasser

"All of my professors made sure that I was learning. They really cared that, you know, we had the information we needed to go forth. And they kind of put this beautiful `bow tie on us, and they're ready to send us out into this world and really make a difference."

Life at IUP
Join your favorite clubs, go to shows and concerts on campus, read on a blanket in the Oak Grove, cheer on the Hawks teams, or walk to restaurants and coffee shops in downtown Indiana. There's so much to love about life at IUP!

Students in the Oak Grove

"Multiple visits to other colleges made it hard to choose at first, but as soon as I toured on campus and saw the students here, I just sort of knew this is where I wanted to go. There is something really inviting about IUP."

Housing and Dining
Our residence halls feature Living-Learning Communities and give you a home right in the heart of campus. For dining, you'll enjoy a variety of delicious options, as well as campus spots for Starbucks, Subway, Einstein Bros. Bagels, and Chick-fil-A.

"A tour is really worth your while. The dorms are more than anyone could expect, and the campus is small and safe. It is the perfect place to be proud of, where you call home for the four or so years after high school."

Visit Campus... From Home

Other than being here in person, it's the best way to see IUP. Tour campus through videos and photographs, with stops at a residence hall, a dining facility, an academic building, the library, the Oak Grove, and more.

1. Accept and pay deposit

2. Activate MyIUP

  • You will receive an email with instructions on how to set up your MyIUP account the day after your deposit is processed.

3. Set up DUO

  • Before you can log in to your account, you need to set up your DUO multifactor authentication. You need two devices to do this—the one you will always use to approve your login, and another to initiate a login to your account.

4. Housing

  • In MyIUP, you will be able to find the link to select your meal plan and residence hall room. You can learn more from the Housing website. Most new undergraduate students are required to live on campus.
  • If you're thinking about commuting, check out the IUP Residency Requirement.

5. Sign up for Orientation

  • First-time students starting at IUP in the fall semester will be invited to sign up for orientation beginning in mid-February.

1. Complete HAWKS course and placement testing

  • 24 hours after you sign up, you will have access to your HAWKS 100 online course in D2L, which you can find in MyIUP. This is where you find your placement tests. Complete these 72 hours before your scheduled orientation.

2. Send AP test scores and/or dual enrollment transcripts

  • You can get college credit for college courses you've successfully completed and AP exam scores of 3 or better. Forward these to application-docs@iup.edu as soon as possible to ensure that they are included on your transcripts before your class schedule is built so you aren't registered for something you don't need.
  • If you can't get the records (senior AP exam scores usually don't come until later in the summer), just make sure you know what course or exam you took—you'll be able to discuss how to handle them while you are in your college session at orientation.

3. Send your photo for your I-Card

  • Your I-Card is your university ID card, and you will receive it at orientation. You may send an appropriate photo in advance for your I-Card to be created for you. Learn about what to submit.

4. Complete the Declaration of Disability form (if needed)

  • If you are a student with a disability, contact the Department for Disability Access and Advising to complete the form, find other resources about navigating the college process, or receive assistance.

5. Attend Orientation
