    What’s Happening for Accounting Majors

    As an accounting major, you can participate in a number of activities, clubs, and organizations that will support your enthusiasm for accounting and business.


    By your junior year, you'll have access to a broad range of possible internships. Work with the Accounting Department’s internship coordinator to select the one that fits your needs the best. 

    Student Accounting Association

    Accounting majors can further their interest in accounting by joining this association. Membership includes educational meetings on options within the industry and more opportunities to network with potential employers.

    Small Business Institute

    Business students work under the close supervision of faculty to assist SBI clients with accounting systems, market studies, computer system installation, business planning, and operations management.

    Student Organizations

    Business majors can be involved in a variety of student organizations, such as the Student Accounting Association, the International Business Association, the Management Association, Phi Beta Lambda, Phi Gamma Nu, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Student Marketing Association.
