For the past several years, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Community Alliance has made a downloadable "Scholarship Guide" available online at DFW International Community Alliance. The guide is specifically designed for minority students and new Americans and includes information on college preparation and college enrollment. The guide features a section on how to apply for financial aid as well as a directory of scholarships available to minority students.
The directory takes up the bulk of the guide. It includes scholarship titles, brief descriptions, and URLs that direct students to more information on the scholarships, including how to apply for them.
At the end of the guide, there is a section for Spanish-speaking parents to help them better understand the process of preparing for and enrolling in college as well as the process of applying for financial aid.
