Attend the 12th annual Kennett High School Multicultural and Diversity Awareness Conference. This year's program will be as interesting as last year's. Please see the agenda for information regarding workshops and other activities.
The purpose of this conference is to bring many high school and college students, parents, school personnel, and people from other professions together to discuss important issues and topics related to cultural and diversity differences and similarities that exist in our society today.
The objectives of this conference are:
- To articulate experiences which have enhanced dignity and empowerment for all students, parents, and faculty.
- To share understanding and the various efforts that people have made to promote a more successful living environment for everyone.
- To promote ideas and dynamics through which new approaches can be developed to address critical issues and situations.
- To develop an association of people from many backgrounds, experiences, and of similar interests and goal.
The conference will be held at the Kennett High School in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. (registration) to 4:00 p.m. There is no cost for admission or participation. Refreshments, an ethnic lunch, exciting and stimulating workshops, and a guest keynote speaker will complement the program. There is also an opportunity for talented students from your school to perform during the talent show competition. Additionally, representatives from area colleges and universities will be present to provide information about their schools and programs.
