Hazing prevention is everyone's responsibility! The fraternity/sorority life community is sponsoring National Hazing Prevention Week (September 20–25) in an effort to raise awareness of hazing prevention through educational sessions and activities.

Some highlights include:

  • Sunday, September 20 – Love, Mom & Dad at 7:00 p.m.
The Anti-Hazing Coalition will host a live nationwide presentation and discussion to kick off HazingPrevention.Org's National Hazing Prevention Week on Sunday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. Five sets of parents who have suffered unimaginable loss due to hazing challenge all fraternity/sorority members to take up the fight to end hazing now. Whether you've been hazed, know that hazing is happening on your campus, or even if you've hazed one of your members in the past, we must all actively take part in this solving this problem so that no family has to endure this kind of tragedy. Let's be the generation of fraternity and sorority members who end hazing once and for all.
  • Monday, September 21 – Take the Pledge
  • Tuesday, September 22 – Facts Challenge
  • Wednesday, September 23 – Social Media Contest
  • Thursday, September 24 – “Breathe Nolan Breathe” documentary with blackout activity following at 7:30 p.m. Join the fraternity and sorority life community virtually to watch the documentary of a hazing tragedy to new member, Nolan Burch at West Virginia University in 2014. After the documentary there will be a black-out workshop to discuss hazing.
  • Friday, September 25 – Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Join us virtually to have a conversation about what new members can expect from this community/your chapter, and how your experience was. What does it mean to belong to this community?
