Join MCSLE this Thursday, October 1, for our Building Bridges series from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. Systemic Racism, the Pandemic, and My College Experience” will be presented by Brenda Dede, former Pennsylvania Black Conference on Higher Education president and retired associate vice president for Academic Affairs at Clarion University.

The effects of the pandemic and the systematic racism in the world has drastically changed the college experience for students. As students returned, campus life in every way has created challenges both academically and socially.

Brenda Dede will lead the discussion with IUP students on addressing the ongoing needs of Black and Brown students on predominantly white campuses. Dede will also discuss opportunities that students can explore to help define their college experiences during these two major issues in our country.
