IUP Self Care Day November 5I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the work you have done during this challenging semester. I know it has not been easy. Thank you for focusing on your academics and for following IUP's COVID-19 protocols to help keep yourself and our community safe and well.

Based on the positive responses from last year's self-care day, and a strong recommendation
from IUP's Student Government Association, we are designating Friday, November 5, 2021, as IUP Self-Care Day across the university.

Please use this day to mentally and physically rest; decompress and relieve some stress. Maybe connect with friends or simply enjoy an extra day at home. Lay a foundation for your wellness through the rest of the semester and beyond. This might include making sleep a priority, eating well, exercising, or doing what you need to do to focus on you. More information about events for the day will be posted in IUP Now and on the central calendar.

Please note that classes are still scheduled for Friday, November 5, but we have asked faculty to work with you to ensure you have the opportunity to use this day to take care of your emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
