Bringing Real-World Experience Into the Classroom

The department of Communication Disorders, Special Education, and Disability Services faculty members have all worked in the field: in public schools, in mental health programs, in hospitals, and/or with agencies. All full-time faculty have earned their terminal degrees. Though they are active in research projects, their first commitment is to their students. You will always find them accessible and ready to advise you.

    • Our professors bring their extensive experience and high level of scholarship to the classroom.
    • There are no teaching assistants in the department. Most classes are taught by full-time professors.
    • Our faculty members are believers in the value of collaboration, and a few courses are co-taught by professors so you can observe how they do it.
