In honor of Women's History Month, MCSLE invites you to tell us about a woman who inspires you. Whether she's a favorite celebrity, historical figure, relative, friend, or professor, tell us who she is and how she's impacted your life!

From now until the end of March, write a post about her on your public instagram and tag @IUP_MCSLE and #MCSLEWomensHistoryMonth, and we'll share it on our Instagram story!

You can also send us your post on this Google form and we'll post on our Instagram!

The Haven Project invites you to be a volunteer in April for Sexual Violence Awareness month. 

Join us to learn how to identify signs of sexual assault, how to support survivors, and where to go forPurple Teal ribbon resources.  Help is available. 

Volunteer with the Haven Project and assist with activities throughout April.

  • 23 – Fun Home (musical, memoir, mystery)

March

  • 2 – Feminism and Queer (Women/Womyn and what does feminism mean in a queer context)
  • 9 – The Lavender Scare (a documentary about US government oppression over decades to identify and fire gays and lesbians)
  • 16 – Green Dot Training (how you can positively impact campus)
  • 23 – Body and Gender Dysmorphia (conversation around how we perceive ourselves)
  • 30 – History and the Harvey Milk Movement (first openly gay elected politician—involvement in politics and strategies for change)

April

  • 6 Gaymes (board games, card games, other interactive games
  • 13 Take Back The Night (history and support for Haven Programming)
  • 20 Queer Arts Showcase (share your talent and display pieces, performances, and interact with artists)
  • 27 Celebration (end of semester)

IUP Tubaphonium Ensemble

The Lively Arts

The IUP Tubaphonium Ensemble, under the direction of Zach Collins, performs a concert of works for chamber and large tuba-ephonium ensemble. Literature will include standards in the repertoire as well as newly-composed works.

**A live audience will be permitted.**

Number of tickets will depend on current COVID guidelines. The performance will also be live streamed on the IUP Department of Music's YouTube Channel.

Miss visiting the Met? The Carnegie? The National Gallery? Come check out these places (and others) with STATIC on Tuesday, March 30, via Zoom, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. No preregistration is required!

Participants may not use vulgar or disparaging language or images.

STATIC staff will serve as moderators. Anyone not abiding by rules will not be permitted to join the event or participate in the event; they will also be removed from the event and referred to the IUP Office of Student Support and Community Standards for conduct proceedings.
