The Office of Service Learning promotes excellence in professional and personal character development through experiential learning opportunities that bridge the curriculum with community service.

Community Service Learning Federal Work-Study Program

The Community Service Learning (CSL) Federal Work-Study Program employs students to work in non-profit federal, state, and local government agencies in the Indiana Community.

More than 40 agencies serve as host agencies in this program. Interested students must qualify for Federal Work Study and remain in good academic standing.

Students must be actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Compensation is $11.25 per hour.

How to Apply

  • Fill out an application on Hire a Hawk 
  • Meet with a representative from the Office of Student Leadership 
  • Match to a CSL (Community Service Learning Site) 
  • Fill in your paperwork and get all the clearances or background checks needed to work at the site.
