Senate Awards General Criteria and Supporting Materials

  • Each candidate must submit a Personal Statement and Vita focusing on the last five years. All application packages should also include a Table of Contents for the supporting materials addressed below:

    Teaching

    Submit a maximum of three (3) examples in any of the categories below. Applications can and should address as many categories as appropriate, but you should choose only your three strongest examples for submission in each category. While the strongest applications are likely to address more than one category, please note that it is not necessary to address every category. For teaching award applications, five (5) years of student evaluation summaries and peer observations are required.

    Research

    1. All nominations (this form) must be received by the committee by 4:00 pm, December 16, 2016. Submit this form by e-mail as a PDF or Word attachment to John.Lipinski@iup.edu. Electronic submissions only.

    2. Faculty and staff may be self-nominated or be nominated by another faculty member, administrator, staff person, alumna/alumnus, or student.

    3. All candidates nominated for awards will be asked to supply the following information by 4:00 pm, Sunday February 12, 2017:

      1. A one-page personal statement

      2. Current vita/resume focusing on the most recent 5 years

      3. Table of contents

      4. Documentation/supportive materials as described in the General Criteria document

    4. All submissions are to be 100 percent electronic.

  • IUP Senate Awards General Criteria 2016-2017
    Candidates must have five years of service with IUP to submit an application. You may not have won the Senate Award in the category you are submitting within the last five years. The awards cover several categories: teaching, creative arts, service, research, and staff service (for staff members who demonstrate commitment to students and collaboratively engage with faculty and other staff members).
