Pennsylvania law requires that anyone working in a school must be screened for tuberculosis. This screening can be done at the University Health Service or by any licensed physician. See the University Health Service website for information about TB test dates for the current semester. You may also contact the health service by phone at 724-357-2500 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All prospective teachers must undergo a speech and hearing screening prior to any field experience. Once this screening has been passed successfully, it is valid for the entire time that a student is enrolled in Teacher Education at IUP. The screening can be conducted by the Speech and Hearing Clinic at IUP (724-357-2451 or email@example.com).
Screenings are conducted in Room 263, Davis Hall.
