Credits
The Philadelphia Urban Seminar will be taken as a three-credit course on your campus. The course may count for program credit in a variety of ways, such as:
- Afree elective
- EDUC 242 field experience requirement
- Amulticultural experience
- Or, it may be substituted for other requirements depending upon your particular program.

Academic Requirements
Students are required to ...
- Keep a daily log of activities, experiences, and critical incidents
- Write a reaction paper
- Participate in a group presentation on an assigned topic
- Read, critique, and apply information from required readings in the articles on Urban Education packet
- Participate in all activities of the course:
- Evening learning forums
- Professional development workshops
- Classroom teaching
- Community teaching
- Community projects on the weekend
- Cultural and historical site field trips
