Learn more about IUP’s current COVID-19 mitigation guidelines, announced July 22.
All face-to-face gatherings must follow current guidelines and policies. Read more about major campus events, such as Orientation,
Admissions events, and conferences on our Campus Events and Student Life page.
IUP is following all relevant guidelines set by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If you are interested in a specific summer camp, celebration, or conference held on IUP's campus, please reach out directly to that event's organizers for any details.
Based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control about fully vaccinated individuals, IUP will not require indoor face coverings/masks for fully vaccinated individuals.
Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are urged to follow CDC guidelines recommending masking indoors; students, employees, and visitors are expected to be on the honor system related to masking.
Any student, employee, or visitor who chooses to be masked (regardless of vaccination status) is encouraged and welcomed to do so. Masking is not required indoors for fully vaccinated individuals (all are to be on the honor system regarding masking).
Our dining facilities are set up to maintain social distancing, with simplified menus and less movement around the dining hall. Read more on our Dining on Campus page.
Visitors to campus should keep in mind that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to modify the way our campus operates. Each building will have sanitation stations available. Visitors will also see signage at each entrance and in hallways to remind them
about safety guidelines. Read more about our on-campus operations on the Campus Health and Safety page.
